Kokopei launches the second edition of Animarte
Jan 7, 2026
We are proud to celebrate, we concluded the second edition of Animarte, Kokopei’s project that provides children with intellectual disabilities, aged 8 to 15, a space to explore their creativity, express themselves, and discover new skills through animation.
In this edition, we taught more than 40 children, with the support of German volunteers from Bolivianisches Kinderhilfswerk, who accompanied the activities and offered guidance throughout the process. The children had the opportunity to bring their own animated stories to life, connecting with their imagination and showing the world their talent and personality.
Animarte goes beyond teaching animation: it builds self-confidence, develops cognitive skills, and teaches the importance of perseverance and teamwork. Each project reflects the children’s creativity and enthusiasm, reminding us that there are no limits to what they can achieve.
One of the highlights of this edition was the exhibition of their work at the Universidad Católica Boliviana in Tarija, which had great participation and allowed their efforts and accomplishments to be recognized and admired by everyone present.
The project is also supported by the Bolivian Children’s Fund (BKHW), a non-profit organization based in Stuttgart, Germany, that works with disadvantaged children and youth in Bolivia, further strengthening the impact of Animarte.
At Kokopei, we firmly believe that every child has a voice that deserves to be heard. Animarte is much more than a workshop: it is a place where children feel valued, inspired, and free to express themselves through art. With the right tools and an inclusive environment, their dreams can become possible. “If you can dream it, you can do it.” Walt Disney
